Each cycle moves through the same four phases: you attempt the work first, study the gap that attempt reveals, try again with that knowledge in hand, then push the work somewhere the reference can't take you. Finally, you evaluate — and decide what comes next.

This structure is the same whether you're drawing a figure, writing a scene, or working out a chord progression. The platform is the constant. The craft is the variable.
